Hold-up victim and Taxi driverin a heated face-to-face with Raffy Tulfo

Earlier this week, a netizen named Rejean Mulo shared her horrific encounter with a taxi driver on Facebook. This time, it wasn’t about a tampered meter or even acts of lasciviousness, but a matter of life-and-death. The victim warned other people of the taxi driver who stole her belongings. The incident occurred in broad daylight last February 25. Aside from taking her bag by force, the victim also sustained multiple minor injuries after being dragged along the road by the taxi driver identified as Renando Catalan. The issue was brought to the attention of tough-as-nails journalist Raffy Tulfo.

During their live confrontation on-air, the traumatized victim couldn’t help but turn emotional after finally facing the man who was responsible for her horrific life-and-death experience.

In the beginning, the taxi driver denied all of the allegations hurled against him, claiming that he couldn’t possibly do the crime because he was playing mahjong at that time. Raffy Tulfo did not buy his excuse and upon further investigation, the taxi driver finally give in.

His smug denial caused the host to shout expletives at him on air. Raffy Tulfo is known for his fierce tirades, and he did not hold back when he apprehended Catalan.

Aside from the taxi driver and his female victim, the taxi operator, Joseph Madrilejos, was also present during the face-to-face with Raffy Tulfo.

According to Madrilejos, Catalan has only been working for two weeks when the incident occurred.

MY SUPER HERO: Hero catches woman falling from 11th floor with his bare hands

Let’s face it, not everyone is willing to risk their own life to save another. However, sometimes we witness spontaneous acts of heroism that will make you stop and think, just like this heroic man who tried to save a woman who fell from the 11th floor.

It was just a typical night for a Chinese man named Feng Ning. However, little did he know that he will come face to face with life and death that night. As he was leaving a restaurant in Enshi, Central China, he heard the shrieking screams of a woman from the upper floors of a building.

Upon looking up, he saw a falling person that was about to hit the ground. In a blink of an eye, the man immediately sprung into action and attempted to catch the woman with his arms.

However, instead of saving the woman, the former soldier was crushed by the powerful force of the falling person. In the end, Feng needed to be rushed to the nearby hospital to address his injuries while the woman was dead upon impact.

Because of his injuries, the man needed extensive surgery. He was admitted to Enshi Central Hospital, where doctor Li Yanbing of the spinal surgery department elaborated on the man’s injuries:

“He was knocked out by the impact and suffered injuries on his knee joints, and had a tibial plateau fracture. His anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments and the medial ligament have been dislocated.”

Due to his bravery, many locals in Enshi are hailing Feng as a hero. Indeed, people like him who are willing to sacrifice their lives for others are rare nowadays. To watch the entire incident as it unravels, check out this video below:

Must See: Hong Kong employer caught on cam abusing her Indonesian maid

When an employee fails to do a good job, the employer will understandably get mad. But there is absolutely no reason for a boss to abuse anyone who works under them. In a viral Facebook live video, an elderly Hong Kong employer can be seen beating up her Indonesian maid.

As she was being hit and verbally abused, the Indonesian maid was heard calling out for help. She reportedly kept repeating the words:

“Oh God, I’m being smacked. I don’t accept her speaking that way to me.”

The Indonesian maid was so shocked and angry at what was being done to her that she called her Hong Kong employer a dog in her native language. The lack of understanding because of the language barrier seemed to anger the elderly employer further.

The elderly woman kept insisting that the Indonesian maid speak Chinese as she hit her. A rough translation of her words were:

“Why don’t you speak Chinese? Why are you speaking this other language? I don’t understand. You’re so evil, what are you saying about me? Speak! Speak my language. What are you saying? Use Chinese. I’ve never had anyone make me as angry as you do.”

It appears as though their conflict started when the employer blamed the helpless domestic helper and called her useless for the smallest and most insignificant mistakes. She tried to reason with her boss but it just ended in abuse.

What’s more upsetting was there are a few people who think that the Indonesian maid was at fault. They said that if she would have kept quiet then this wouldn’t have happened to her. A classic case of victim-blaming.

Watch the video below.

Must See: Woman defies beaty standards after she embraced her saggy and wrinkly body

A WOMAN with a rare genetic condition that makes her look decades older is determined not to let her excessively saggy skin stop her from launching a modelling career.

Sara Geurts, 26, from Minneapolis, Minnesota, is one of only 12 people in the world living with with Dermatosparaxis Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS).

It causes her to have soft, doughy skin that is extremely fragile, as well as weakened joints and muscles that often leave her in a lot of pain.

After years of feeling self-conscious, covering up and hating her wrinkled body, Sara is now embracing her unique look and plans to move to Los Angeles to launch her modelling career.

She said: "I noticed it as early as about the age of seven and was diagnosed at 10.

"In high school, I just tried to cover it up. I didn’t want anyone to ask me questions about it. I didn’t want to talk about it.

"I would say my biggest insecurity was my skin. As I got older it, it just kind of started to show more and more.

"I wasn’t bullied and my family and friends were very supportive, but I hated my skin. I was lucky I didn’t get any nasty remarks, but while my friends wore revealing outfits, I’d hide away in baggy clothes.

However, when she was 22, after a difficult break up, Sara decided she needed to change how she saw herself.

She explained: "It really was a difficult journey. But with the amazing support group that I had, I started to look at myself and my body in a completely different way.

"I was very insecure when I was younger and now I feel I am the most confident I have ever been.

"I tried to cover up my skin constantly. But now I think it’s just the most beautiful thing ever.

"Just the uniqueness and the rarity, the way the lines form and the art that is made from the patterns that are there. It’s amazing.

"It makes me so sad that I looked at it as just this ugly thing at one point in time."

Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is a fairly rare condition affecting only one in 5,000 worldwide, however only a dozen people have been diagnosed with Sara’s type of the condition.

Sara said: “The classical type of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome affects our joints, it affects our skin, everything.

"It’s a multi systematic disorder, so it affects every system within our body."

Although Sara doesn’t suffer from symptoms such as frequent dislocations and severely brittle bones, which are typically associated with sufferers from the classical type, Dermatosparaxis Ehlers-Danlos does come with its own pitfalls.

She explained: “There are numerous Ethlers-Danlos patients out there that have joints dislocate all the time.

"They are constantly in braces or wheelchairs. Thankfully, I have not had that severity with my joints.

"I do have severe pain and things like that but they do not dislocate on a regular basis as of yet.

"I have noticed as I get older, my symptoms play a larger role in my life.

"I refrain from wearing super tight clothes because it causes constriction and, because of the extra skin, it can rip and cause tearing.”

To deal with her joint pain, Sara relies on natural remedies such as massage therapy, acupuncture and medical marijuana.

She said: “The majority of the Ehlers-Danlos patients take copious amounts of opioids and pain medications.

"I stick to more natural remedies and prefer massage therapies, acupuncture and essential oils. Anything that’s basically natural I am all for, including medicinal marijuana.

"I took a vow not to prescribe myself a day-to-day pain medication."

One of Sara’s biggest supporters and the reason she got into modelling, is her friend Briana Berglund, who is now Sara’s personal photographer.

She said: “I’m so proud, she’s come so far over the last couple of years. It’s just crazy how much she has really come out of her shell.

"I don’t really see the disability or disorder in Sara. I think she is just beautiful the way she is. I don’t really notice any difference in her from anyone else."

Speaking about her modelling aspirations, Sara said: "I want to break society’s standards and what is viewed as perfection, to really show that it is your imperfections and your uniqueness that is the true beauty out there.

"We are in the generation of albinism models. We have melanin models. We have vitiligo models. We have plus size models. And those are all fabulous things.

"But the one thing that we are really missing are people with disorders within our everyday commercials.

"Personally I hope that by getting out there with modelling with my Ehlers-Danlos, I am able to almost be the face of Ehlers-Danlos. And not only, you know, raise awareness but spread the word, connect with people.

"I would like to go out to LA as soon as possible, given the modelling industry out there.

"I want to connect with new people to try and get my story out there and raise as much awareness as I can.

"That would probably be my venture for the rest of my life."

Last month we told of a couple’s nightmare after their baby was put in care for EIGHT MONTHS when doctors missed tot’s "easy bruising" condition.

Earlier this year we reported how a woman was unable to eat for 10 YEARS after corrective surgery for her S-shaped spine left her "unable to digest food".

McDonald’s employee: Taiwanese Men Line Up To See Kawaii, Doll-Like Beauty

TAIPEI — Men are beginning to line up in front of a McDonald’s in Taiwan like never before. Not for a burger, but for WeiWei an adorable local employee.

The young worker pretty much looks like a porcelain doll, has big eyes and clear, smooth skin. She’s petite and her beauty meets the Asian standards of a “kawaii”, or cute, girl down to a T.

Because of her looks, photos of her have collected more than 87,000 likes on Facebook and she’s slowly becoming a bit of a minor celebrity in Taiwan.

WeiWei isn’t all that extraordinary, though as it’s quite common for McDonald’s and businesses in Taiwan to harness the “cuteness” of female employees to attract customers. Sometimes employees are even asked to literally dress up like dolls.

If this doesn’t reflect the beauty standards of most men in Asia, it certainly has something to say about what the market thinks is perceived as attractive: a child-like, adorable, innocent-looking girl.

A kind of of beauty that, based on the comments netizens have been posting next to photos of WeiWei, seems to be perceived by many Western men as unattractive and not feminine enough. Some netizens even see WeiWei as more like a child than a woman and have gone as far as accusing those attracted to her of pedophilia.

Yet, plenty of Western expats in Asia are also going specifically, if not only, for women who are either adorable little kawaii girls or geisha-like sexual objects. Is this attraction based on a chauvinist need to infantilize and disenfranchise a woman of her right to be perceived as a mature, independent, respected individual? Probably!

But WeiWei, who keeps posting selfies to her social media accounts and has appeared on several Taiwanese TV programs, doesn’t really seem to care.
