A video shows a toddler who was trapped after her hair reportedly got stuck in an escalator.
According to online reports, the incident is believed to have happened at shopping mall in Davao.
According to the witness, at 5:00pm when the girl boarded at the escalator with her parents.
A young girl would get her fallen toy accidentally hit her hair on the escalator at a mall in Davao City on Wednesday.
The video, which went viral after being posted on Facebook, shows the young girl lying on an escalator, her hair apparently having been pulled into a gap.
They have come down when the child's toy is dropped. She bowed to take it but struck her hair, forcing her to fall.
She can be seen crying while stuck in her position, as a man -- presumably her father -- tried to comfort her.
The girl did not do anything but to cry, as she took her head off the escalator.
At one point, the man tapped on the escalator in frustration.
Fortunately, the mall staff immediately stopped the escalator, and also left the child from being hit.
Some reports have alleged that the girl's left hand was also trapped in the escalator, but this cannot be confirmed.
Netizens have questioned why nobody came forward with scissors to free the child, as well as reminded parents to always monitor their kids closely when on an escalator.
Experts have reminded to have an extra precautions and alertness especially when there are accompanying children on the escalator or on the elevator.
